Krav Maga (Close Combat) class is our main hand to hand combat class. This class covers realistic defensive options for surviving strikes, various grabs, chokes, headlocks, body locks, etc. Focus is placed on quickly recognizing and surviving the initial threat and counter attacking aggressively to get away as quickly and safely as possible.
Grappling, in hand-to-hand combat, is used at close range to gain a physical advantage over an opponent such as imposing and improving a position, or to or control the opponent. Our grappling classes use tactics from grappling arts such as wrestling, jiu-jitsu and judo to help members become more comfortable in close range encounters both from a standing position and on the ground.
Armed classes focus on the art of employing the available means to end a threat involving a weapon. Available means range from close quarter hand to hand tactics to drawing ones own self-defense tool (firearm, tactical blade, blunt object). You do not need to be a carrier of force multiplier tools to attend this class. If you do carry a force multiplier, we recommend bringing a training version to practice deploying tactics.
A mix of Krav Maga, Grapple and Armed. This class varies in topics covered each class, typically combining at least two concepts from the three classes.
This is NOT a beat the crap out of each other, meathead personality class. The focus of SPAR is to engage in offensive and defensive, 1 to 1 exchanges in a safe, ego free manner resulting in better recognition of attacks, defensive tactics and counter measures. Participants can train like a fighter without the concussions. (APPROVED boxing gloves & shin guards are required for this class)
Similar to SPAR class, STRIKE classes work offensive and defensive tactics from boxing, kickboxing, muay thai and mma on focus mitts and thai pads, giving the participant a fighter-esque training experience minus the concussions and bruises. (Boxing gloves REQUIRED)
An ego and concussion free mix of SPAR and STRIKE classes. This class works the same fighter-esque training combos with 1 to 1 offensive and defensive interactions using glove drills. (APPROVED boxing gloves and shin guards required)
Kick it into high gear and sweat your gloves off with this high-intensity, energetic class that teaches boxing, kickboxing and mma combos with a twist. Challenge yourself with this head to toe, non-stop workout that uses a variety of blood pumping moves, heavybags and ground bags. This class is only for those who want to sweat and torch major calories all while having a blast! (Boxing gloves REQUIRED)
FIT-ROM is a kick-ass, total body workout designed to cater to people at all levels of fitness. These classes focus on endurance, strength, power, core and range of motion using body weight, resistance bands and other equipment. Participants are challenged and pushed while still being able to adjust their intensity level to best suit their personal fitness goals.
